Real Frequency is not about getting into college.
That's the easy part.
It's about getting into the RIGHT college, staying there, and thriving.
That's the hard part.
How would you answer the question "Who are you and what are you about?" Not easy is it? Now what if you had an answer already formulated? Wouldn't that be nice? Real Frequency will give you that.
Each RF client starts their journey with Real Frequency by participating in our Strengths and Purpose-Driven Narrative (SPDNa) process. This journey of discovery helps our clients create a narrative about themselves that is built around their "Strengths" and their "Why." They use this narrative to establish a stronger sense of self-understanding, which serves as a cornerstone through (and beyond) the transition to college.
Once our clients have a better understanding of their Strengths and Purpose, it's time for the uncomfortable conversation around what they want to do after college. Will the first career choice as a teenager be what someone does for the rest of their life? Probably not. So we don't focus on the "what" part. We focus on the "WHY" part. Once our clients understand why they want to do the things that interest them, we can narrow the focus on what careers will offer up what they most want out of life. Our guiding principle here is that we don't want doubt to get in the way of vision.
A critical phase of the Real Frequency experience focuses on College Fit. And we mean FIT! The truth is, what you do in college matters a lot more than where you go to college. The formula is fit drives engagement and engagement determines success. To help the likelihood of fit, we have developed a series of assessments to help our clients better understand and articulate what means most to them, and what colleges will best meet those wants and needs. Is it Campus Life, Academics, Extra Curricular Experiences, or Finances that are most important to me and my family? And what if it's all of the above?
Real Frequency has a long-standing relationship with the dreaded college application. Would you like to know how to slay this beast? The secret is Perspective, Pace, Priorities, and Planning. Perspective is about a broad focus that starts with "me". Pace is about starting early and spreading out the workload. Priorities is knowing where to focus now (SAT?, that looming English paper?, a college visit?, my essays?). All of if this is shaped by a plan...developed and managed by your friends at Real Frequency. We bet you feel better already.
If you hire Real Frequency, we expect you to be demanding. After all, you will pay us a fee for a service. "Damn Right!" you say.
Now, how about that same perspective when it comes to hiring your school? In sum, be selective. Pay less, and get more! How? Start by educating yourself on how the game is played. Oh, and it is a game...with rules we want you to learn. You need to know about EFC, FAFSA, Payment Plans, and other strategies that we can employ in order to maximize the value you get from the school that you choose to hire.
You are in! You have chosen you school! You are officially done with the journey to college!
Well, not quite. We have a bit more to do.
Because maximizing the college return on investment mostly happens outside of the classroom. That's not an intuitive statement, but it will be once you work with us. The truth is, the risk of "failure" for college Freshman is high (the dropout rate is a major problem with the college education system). So, our last steps in the Real Frequency College Consulting Journey, are this...prepare you so that you stay in place, stay engaged, learn how to maximizing what you receive from you school of choice.
